Today is the 6th Annual Live Like a Cat Day! Every second Saturday of January is a day just for you. What does that mean? Today is the day to do whatever you want.
Here are a few suggestions:
- sleep, eat, play
- stare at nothing, be silly, stay in your pj’s all day
- groom if you feel the need – or not
- drink and snack at will
- play video games or stare out the window
- watch movies all day
- don’t answer the phone
- indulge yourself in you
- look at the dog and roll your eyes
Living like a cat means there are no rules, no expectations of you, and just being. You decide what you want to do – nothing is perfectly acceptable.
If you have to to work today, pick another day.

Hi Sparkle. Here’s a little tip for 2014 (that seems really weird to write) – just as I hit publish, I realized this holiday needs to get circulated before the day of so we humans can at least put it on our task list. Seriously, if I could read a recipe, I would want to get all the fixings ahead of time!

Really? We had no idea about this day. And frankly the chances are just about 100% the Human will forget about it by next week, let alone 2014. Ha ha meow! She’s SOOOOO old!
