The move is on!

Fisher on the move

Dear Friends,

I am supposed to be the calm one here. My main job is to keep Wart out of the boxes so he does not get himself taped in and moved before we cats get our royal introduction to the new place. We have listened in to all the “moving talk” for the last 3 months.

This is where it all started and what it has come to:

1. A bigger condo – now a house!
2. Terrace with a water view – now a yard!
3. “you will love it” – “you will love it”
4. Out of the city – West side of the city
5. “you will love it” – “you will love it!”

My office is slowly disappearing through the door and down the elevator. Internet will close down soon, but I am trusting it will come back up.

My people are acting all happy, so I must believe them. It has been a long time since I have lived on the ground. But, yes, I will get calm and enjoy the ride. I always do.

As for little brother Wart, I am here for you buddy. Not right now, but pretty soon.

Any suggestions for helping Wart?

Your friend,
Fisher

rescue remedy the day of the move helps. Good luck with your move, I’m glad that it will be to a nicer place…I’m sure you’ll love it…
Since 2005 we’ve moved 7 times. The cats have always handled it very well…except for the time Mango pooed in the car…not what you want to deal with on moving day

The moving thing is so stressful! I am glad I’ve only had to do it once (I don’t count the three-day stay at the Cat Hotel when my old house was tented to termites). But it’s definitely worth it – I could not believe how cool the new house was compared to the old one. In fact, we kitties were so happy with it, we did not crawl on our bellies at all when we saw it – we raced all over and enjoyed the extra space! So when the humans say, “You will love it,” I bet they are right. Maybe some Feliway (the feline hormone stuff) will help Wart destress a bit. And maybe put some catnip and/or treats somewhere far away from the boxes to keep him away from them while the humans are packing. Basically make the non-box areas more fun than the boxes.

Ooh,the new place you’re moving to sounds so cool! I hope you like teh new place. I don’t have any advice for your brother though, sorry. Both me and my sister were excited about our move so I don’t know how to helps.

BTW!!! We’ve tagged you on our blog for a fun meme! Be sure to check it out. :)

Thank you all – you have put me more at ease. We are in the house now and settling down a bit. It is always good to know I have such caring friends out there. Wart survived. Yippee!

Oh glad to hear that you got all moved and hope Wart is all right. It really is stressful to move but maybe there will be more room to play etc. As long as the mom and dad are there, you will be all right.
